FXS: df.- 9/15/92 (062/30) <br /> O R I G I N A L 10/19/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11870 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT WITH REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> FOR TAFT SCHOOL CHILDCARE PROGRAM <br /> (CDBG) <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City School District ("District") <br /> conducts a childcare program for residents of the City of Redwood <br /> City (the "Program") ; and <br /> WHEREAS , District has requested financial assistance in <br /> order to provide certain facilities for the Program during the <br /> fiscal year commencing July 1 , 1992 , and ending June 30 , 1993 ; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , the funds to be received by District will be used <br /> to purchase two portable units to be installed at the Taft School <br /> by District; and <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> and desires to allocate to District , the sum of One Hundred Forty <br /> Eight Thousand Two Hundred Thirty and No/100 Dollars <br /> ($148 ,230 . 00) from its Community Development Block Grant funds <br /> for the foregoing purposes ; and <br /> WHEREAS , an agreement providing for such funding has been <br /> presented to , and reviewed by, this Council ; and <br /> WHEREAS , it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br />
