the employee, be advanced forty (40) hours of administrative leave in <br /> the following calendar year. No additional administrative leave or <br /> overtime will be granted to such employee until the employee has worked <br /> a minimum of forty (40) hours overtime in the calendar year the <br /> administrative leave was advanced. <br /> In the event an employee, who was advanced administrative leave <br /> pursuant to this section, does not work a minimum of forty (40) hours <br /> overtime or leaves City employment for what ever reason before working <br /> a minimum of forty (40) hours of overtime, the advanced forty (40) <br /> hours administrative leave shall be paid back to the City minus any <br /> hours of overtime worked in the calendar year the administrative leave <br /> was advanced. The balance due to the City shall be deducted from the <br /> employee's vacation balance as of December 31, or if the employee's <br /> vacation balance is less then the administrative leave balance, the <br /> amount still due will be deducted from the employees paycheck in the <br /> first pay period following December 31. <br /> The following classifications shall continue to receive time and <br /> one-half their regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of <br /> eight (8) hours in one day or forty (40) hours in one week: <br /> Administrative Secretary/Exempt Personnel Assistant <br /> Administrative Secretary/Confidential Programmer Analyst I/II <br /> Secretary to the City Manager Telephone Operator/Receptionist <br /> For the above classifications payment for overtime work shall be in the <br /> form of cash or compensatory time off as determined by agreement <br /> between the employee and the department head. These classifications <br /> may accumulate a maximum of eighty (80) hours of compensatory time per <br /> calendar year. In no event shall these classifications bank more than <br /> eighty (80) hours of compensatory time at any given moment in the <br /> calendar year. <br /> This overtime benefit is mutually exclusive of any and all forms of <br /> overtime compensation provided for in this Executive Service <br /> Compensation Plan. <br /> Temporary Upgrade - An employee temporarily assigned by a supervisor to <br /> work in a higher paid classification and performing duties and <br /> responsibilities not contained in the employee's current- job <br /> specifications shall receive the rate of pay of the lowest step in the <br /> higher classification or an increase of 5%, whichever is greatest. <br /> This temporary upgrade shall be effective on the 11th day in the higher <br /> classification. <br /> Medical Insurance/Cafeteria Plan - The City agrees to contract with the <br /> California Public Employee's Retirement System (PERS) for participation <br /> under the Public Employees Medical and Hospital Care Act (Government <br /> Code Section 22751, et, seq.) , pursuant specifically to Government Code <br /> Section 22825 and 22850. <br /> 12 <br />
