III II ~~ -lid- Ib. .......... ~~.'~ 4- ~ ,,---. <br /> <br />City Manager Ullrich' advised that public hearing on budget is <br />June 16, and that this would be place and time for Commission <br />to speak on areas of budget-concern; that open space program <br />will have $259,232; that County will probably participate on <br />Phase 2 of Canyon Road to an approx.. $50,000 "amount - roughly <br />a total of approx. $300,000 for acquisition, planning and <br />design of park areas: that in addifion, there is $134,000 <br />for playground equipment for neighborhood PJEks, $50,000 <br />being o~ contributiôn to the first BCDC park near Marine <br />World: $30,000 is in budget to improve parking area at <br />Community Activities Building: $15,000 for city's portion to <br />install automatic' sprinklers at' school play areas; $8,'900 has <br />been carried forward for the Spinae Playground tennis courts, <br />and $500 for the Franklin School play area. <br /> <br />:ft.' <br /> <br /> <br />~Mt. Ullrich told that plans appear good ~or a restaurant at <br />~the.Municipa1 Marina by Host International - a 270 seat rest- <br />aurant on piles with preferred locãtion on point: a $600,000 <br />minimum contract value; 1st 10 years land lease' (minimum) of <br />$10,000 a year, plus'l% of-gross up~to $500,000 and 1¥~ over. <br />that; 2nd 10 year lease at an increased land lease minimum <br />plus 1~ and ?h of the gross, and the 3rd 10 year period <br />will be at a $15,000 minimum land lease plus ~~ and 3% of <br />gross, at which time facility will revert.to City; restaurant <br />company cannot sell facility without city approval and are <br />bonded in event the minimum guarantee is not met; City~agree- <br />ment is with parent company; that project has been discussed <br />with harbor and watercraft people. who agree with concept and <br />it will appear on their July 28th agenda for approval; City <br />will build a forëe-main sewer line, and as HarborB1ve. will <br />be widened and improved during-summer, line will go in at that', <br />time.
