<br />EQual Emulovment: Non-Discrimination.

<br />Contractor certifies that it is in compliance with the Equal Employment
<br />Opportunity Requirements of Executive Order No 11246, as amended by
<br />Executive Order No 1375, Title vn of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the
<br />California Fair Employment Practices Act and any other federal or state
<br />laws pertaining to equal employment opportunity, and that it will not
<br />discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment or
<br />opportunity to purchase the dwelling to be built on the "property." on the
<br />basis of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical
<br />or mental disability, marital status, sexual preference, or political
<br />affiliation in matters pertaining to occupancy, hiring, training, upgrading,
<br />transfers, compensation or termination.

<br />In the performance of this contract, the Contractor agrees to
<br />not discriminate against any employee or applicant for
<br />employment because of race, religion, color, national origin,
<br />ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, marital status,
<br />sexual preference, or political affiliation. The contractor agrees to
<br />take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and
<br />that employees are treated during employment, without regard to
<br />their race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age,
<br />physical or mental disability, marital status, sexual preference, or
<br />political affiliation. Such action shall include, but not be limited
<br />to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion or transfers;
<br />recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; rates
<br />of payor other forms of compensation; and selection for training,
<br />including apprenticeship. The Contractor agrees to post in
<br />conspicuous places, available to employees and applicants for
<br />employment, notices to be provided by the City of Redwood City
<br />setting forth the provisions of this Fair Employment Practices
<br />section.

<br />The Contractor agrees to permit access to his records of
<br />employment, employment advertisements, application forms, and
<br />other pertinent data and records by the State Fair Employment
<br />Practices Commission, or any other agency of the State of
<br />California designated by the awarding authority, for the purposes
<br />of investigation to ascertain compliance with the Fair Employment
<br />Practices section of this contract.
