<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />CHILD CARE SUBSIDIES PROGRAM <br /> <br />(MESSIAH UNITED LUTHERAN CHURCH) <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this J ~ ~ day of <br />~, 2000, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />~un~c~pal corporation of the State of California, (City), and MESSIAH UNITED <br /> <br />LUTHERAN CHURCH, a California nonprofit corporation (Contractor); <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor conducts a child care subsidies program for persons who <br /> <br />reside in the City (the Program); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br /> <br />the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000, and <br /> <br />ending June 30,2001; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor <br /> <br />the sum of Ten Thousand and nollOO Dollars ($10,000.00) from its Community <br /> <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as folJows: <br /> <br />1. Financial Assistance. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten <br /> <br />Thousand and nolI 00 Dollars ($10,000.00) for exclusive use by Contractor during the <br /> <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001, solely for the purposes <br /> <br />described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br />8/15/00 <br />
