C1ta_i r~~an - <br />~r~eRo r..t : <br />Commissioner Knecht reported that committee had held three meetings <br />and serious consideration had been given on recommendations for <br />operating the building on a bro~der community ~se scale, that <br />suggestions for fees and rate schedules are yet to be refined, and <br />would be presented to the Commission for recommendation to Council <br />at the February meeting. Mr. Knecht g~ve a partial report on recom- <br />mendations as follows: That all present Veterans Groups using the <br />building be continued use of the building on a no-fee basis, with <br />room assignment for such no-fee basis taking into consideration the <br />size and activity of the grouPJ that all scheduling for the building <br />be done by the Recreation Department--with some sort of connecting <br />telephone link installed from the Veterans Building to C.A.B.¡ and, <br />that the Park Department be in charge of all physical facilities-- <br />land and building--mainten~nce, repairs, etc. <br /> <br /> <br />It was also noted that there is a great variation of rates at the <br />Veterans Building as opposed to those for C.A.B. and that the building <br />should have greater use for community activities. <br /> <br />6 - ~..,}\--,"p.. §_T_up~NT.~ ..-..~IN:r"p~Q~CJ.h.~_tvG.
