<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />PAL "IMPROVE THROUGH ADVANCE" VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR <br /> <br />(POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE) <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this J;<'1. <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />J;:x~()c,r)'1b, 1999, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br /> <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, (City), and POLICE ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />LEAGUE, a California nonprofit corporation (Contractor); <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor conducts an at-risk youth intervention program for <br /> <br />residents of the City (the Program); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br /> <br />the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1999, and <br /> <br />ending June 30, 2000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor <br /> <br />the sum of Ten Thousand and nollOO Dollars ($10,000.00) from its Community <br /> <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Financial Assistance. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten <br /> <br />Thousand and nollOO Dollars ($10,000.00) for exclusive use by Contractor during the <br /> <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 1999, and ending June 30, 2000, solely for the purposes <br /> <br />described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br />10/15/99 <br />
