Senior Civil Engineer Chang stated that in general, conceptually, the attorney <br /> representing the Redwood Shores property agreed with the need to extend the <br /> agreement. However, due to the technical difficulty in contacting those involved in <br /> Japan to complete the paperwork by the expiration date of June 23, 2002, the <br /> proposal is for a 60-day temporary extension in order to preserve the current <br /> development agreement. After completion of all the necessary documents, this <br /> item will be brought back for consideration of the formal 3-year extension. <br /> <br /> Mayor Claire opened the public hearing.
