DES : dft- 9/15/92 (061/30) <br /> ORIGINAL 9/21/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N 0. 11846 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT WITH CENTER FOR THE INDEPENDENCE OF <br /> THE DISABLED <br /> (CDBG) <br /> WHEREAS , Center for the Independence of the Disabled <br /> ("Center") conducts a housing accessibility modification program <br /> for homeless residents of the City of Redwood City (the <br /> "Program") ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Center has requested financial assistance in order <br /> to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1 , <br /> 1992 , and ending June 30 , 1993 ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> and desires to allocate to Center , the sum of Eighteen Thousand <br /> and No/100 Dollars ($18 ,000 . 00) from its Community Development <br /> Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes ; and <br /> WHEREAS , an agreement providing for such funding has been <br /> presented to , and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> WHEREAS , it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Center for the <br /> Independence of the Disabled (CDBG)" , (form dated 9/01/92) , by <br /> and between the City of Redwood City and Center for the <br /> Independence of the Disabled , a copy of which agreement is on <br /> file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br />
