DES:dAJk09/03/92 (111/32) <br /> O R I G I N A L 9/14/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11838 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF FOUR (4) <br /> PASSENGER VEHICLES <br /> WHEREAS, the City Clerk caused to be published advertisement <br /> for bids for the purchase of six (6) used passenger vehicles; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement four bidders <br /> responded; and <br /> WHEREAS, Fremont Ford of Newark, California, is the lowest <br /> responsible bidder; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to accept the alternate bid of <br /> said Fremont Ford for the purchase of four (4) vehicles; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1 . The alternate bid of Fremont Ford for the sale of four <br /> (4) passenger vehicles to the City of Redwood City in the amount <br /> of Forty-seven Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-four and 80/100 <br /> Dollars ($47 ,784 . 80) computed in accordance with said bidder' s <br /> proposal dated August 22 , 1992 , is hereby accepted, and said <br /> bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible <br /> bidder for the sale of said vehicles to the City. <br /> 2. Any and all informalities in the aforementioned bid of <br /> Fremont Ford is, and each of them hereby are, waived. <br /> 3 . All bids other than the aforementioned bid of Fremont <br /> Ford are hereby rejected. <br />
