DES: dft 53/19/92 (043/31) <br /> ORIGINAL 8/31/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11830 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING REGARDING URBAN WATER <br /> CONSERVATION IN CALIFORNIA <br /> WHEREAS, certain urban water suppliers have proposed <br /> and entered into a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") under <br /> which the parties thereto agree , collectively, to implement <br /> urban water conservation practices ; and <br /> WHEREAS , participation under the MOU will promote <br /> conservation of water which will assist in the protection of <br /> streams , wetland and estuaries and/or urban water supply <br /> reliability; and <br /> WHEREAS , the MOU does not attempt to determine how conserved <br /> water may be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to enter into the MOU together <br /> with other urban water suppliers ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> That certain document entitled "Memorandum of Understanding <br /> Regarding Urban Water Conservation in California" dated <br /> September, 1991 , a copy of which memorandum is on file in the <br /> office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made, <br /> is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and <br /> directed to execute said memorandum for and on behalf of the City <br /> of Redwood City. <br /> * * * <br />
