<br /> 6. Course Control. Those portions of the"Redwood Shores Block Party""
<br /> taking place in the public rights of way shall occur in a manner and shall
<br /> be limited to that area designated by the Chief of Police. Should the
<br /> Chief of Police determine that the provision of Police Officers is required
<br /> for the control of traffic in connection with said "Redwood Shores Block
<br /> Party", Permittee agrees to reimburse City for costs associated
<br /> therewith.
<br /> 7. Insurance. Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and
<br /> property damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its Council,
<br /> boards, commissions, officers, employees, and agents as insureds, or
<br /> additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal
<br /> injury or death to any person or persons resulting or arising from the
<br /> conducting of the activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted
<br /> or alleged to have arisen therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of
<br /> Permittee in connection therewith, in the amounts of $500,000 for each
<br /> person and $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage
<br /> insurance for damage or injury to, or destruction of property, including the
<br /> loss of use thereof, in the amount of$500,000. Evidence of such
<br /> insurance coverage in form satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by
<br /> Permittee to the City at least ten (10) days prior to commencement of the
<br /> event.
<br /> 8. Damage to Public Property. Permittee shall reimburse the City for
<br /> the costs for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the
<br /> designated route, caused by or arising out of, the conducting of the
<br /> "Redwood Shores Block Party" permitted hereunder, or the acts, or
<br /> omissions to act, of persons participating in said event. All signs or other
<br /> markings placed in or upon public property, including the public right of
<br /> way in connection the "Redwood Shores Block Party" with shall be
<br /> removed immediately following said event.
<br /> 9. Compliance With Laws. Permittee shall comply with all appropriate
<br /> and applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with the
<br /> conducting of said event, or any activities associated therewith. This
<br /> permit shall be in addition to all other permits which are or may be
<br /> required for conducting the "Redwood Shores Block Party" or any
<br /> associated activity.
<br /> 10. Hold Harmless. Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify
<br /> and save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards,
<br /> commissions, employees and agents from all suits, actions, damages, or
<br /> claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature
<br /> whatsoever, resulting from or arising out of the performance or failure to
<br /> perform of Permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out
<br /> of said race, or any activities herein permitted.
<br /> 11. Additional Matters. Additional or further matters not herein described
<br /> or contemplated in connection with the "Redwood Shores Block Party"
