'. . <br />-to fee, house poor people 1n the area, etc. Mr. Lazaroff 1nd1cated <br />~at if a large a~~t of ~ney could be donated by o~ers to ~e <br />project it would put another light on the project. <br /> <br />Commission discussion included: that the presentation -drawings, <br />models,' concept', etc. were outstanding and the commission expressed <br />its- appreciation for it; that until we had additional men in the park <br />dept. to maintain such installations, was the commission right in <br />encouraging additional projects; Mr. Balzarini stated that he had not <br />been consulted in the presented plan and thus they-had not been checked <br />out by his department;. that it had initially been hoped that this would <br />'be a community' involvement project with neighborhood proponents helping <br />on maintenance, construction, etc., but that while this might be-handled <br />this way at this time that there is a fluctuating turn-over of residents <br />- in this area and maintenance would probably fall to the city; that con- <br />. cept and equipment as proposed could be. used in many parts of the city; <br />~hat Mr. Paulson would present his ideas' and plans' to the neighborhood <br />group and then bring the matter back to the Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thompson moved to recommend that the commission endorse <br />the concept for the park-playground as presented and to request that <br />both departments be.invo1ved in it and when feasible for the group in <br />area to act on it thatbot~the recreation department and the park - <br />department bring back their recommendations on the proposal, -seconded <br />by Commissioner Terrill, and passed. <br /> <br />c - PARK & LINDEN: <br /> <br />J i:::.. 1:0>....
