Gregory Smith stated that it is basically a speedway with a school in the area. He <br /> cited drag way type behavior and his belief that creative solutions might be available <br /> to address the issues. <br /> Council Member Howard supported working with the entire McGarvey Avenue <br /> residents toward a solution. <br /> Maria Diaz Vivian spoke about Neighborhood Emergency Response Team <br /> (N.E.R.T.) suggesting that until NERT refresher courses are running a representative <br /> from Kaiser Permanente might be able to partner with the Fire Department to give a <br /> demonstration for the citizens of what is needed per person in the event of a natural <br /> disaster. She urged everyone at home to prepare a kit for each individual at home. <br /> She further stated that the Red Cross is limited in volunteers and that training will <br /> occur on September 14 and 15. <br /> Gavin and Devin Wright, 7 th graders at Kennedy Middle School, stated that the <br /> citizens of Redwood City should be proud to have such committed people in <br /> government that they would set aside a time to get dunked. The San Mateo County <br /> Historical Society sponsored Victorian Days to benefit the San Mateo County History <br /> Museum. All proceeds went to the historical education of the San Mateo citizens. <br /> M/S Foust/Bain to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by <br /> title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The motion <br /> passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br /> 5.1 Section — Motions <br /> A.
