167

The yearly lease on the building with the Cfty is $1,750.00. In addi-
tion the 4gers contribute to the recreation of Redwood City the amount
of $2,500.00 a year. Mrs. Thompson continued that it appears to cost
. the City over $1000.00 for the privilege of having the 4gers use the
facilities for four months a year.

Mr. Paulson added that the Recreation Department does not utilize the
building at any time even though the Agreement states that the Lessee
shall not occupy or utilize the structure except during the months of
September, October, November and December.

Mr. Guida was disturbed 'over the possibility of the Little League
teams being denied the use of Mitchell Field because the 4gers are
replacing the _turf. .,He asked the que stion "how far does the 4 ger s .
Agreement extend?" He did not feel that the youth of our conununity
be denied the use of our facilities for this reason. Chairman
Thompson a~ked the Secretary to include this discussion in the minutes
and to continue this discussion at the April meeting.

8.
