<br />The regular adjourned meeting was opened at 7:31 p.m. by Chairman Larry
<br />Schenck.
<br />
<br />Those present: Chairman Larry Schenck, Commissioners Frank Guida,
<br />Reuben Haynes, Diane Pound and Joanne Weintraub. Absent: Commissioners
<br />James Knecht and William Warren.
<br />
<br />Staff Present: Max C. Weeks, Director of Parks and Recreation,Bil1 Paulson,
<br />Acting Recreation Director, Marsha Magness, Planner, and Muriel MOnroe,
<br />Secretary protem. Absent: Pasco Balzarini, Park Superin.tendent, and
<br />Lee Halteman, Secretary.

<br />Also present: Marshall Blank and GAP students: Gail C1attenburg, Yolanda
<br />San Miguel, Paul Nickels, Margie Quon, and Connie Robertson.

<br />Minutes of the December 6, 1972, meeting were approved on motion of
<br />Frank Guida, seconded by Diane Pound.
<br />
<br />Chairman Larry Schenck introduced Max C. Weeks, the new Director of Parks
<br />and Recreation, and welcomed him to the staff..

<br />On motion. by Commissioner Frank Guida, seconded by Commissioner Joanne
<br />Weintraub, it was recommended to accept the report of the C9~ittee and
<br />staff re tennis court lighting. Staff and the tennis court lighting
<br />committee chairman from the Park and Recreation Commission (William Warren)
<br />recommend the current funds (13,500) be expended to light our municipal
<br />tennis courts at Andrew Spinas Park. Further, that avenues be left open
<br />for further joint ventures in 1i~ting existing tennis co~ts at Sequoia
<br />Hi~ s~ool and Canada College.
