FXS:cb /13/92 (030/31) <br /> „/05/92R <br /> discretion of each county, to assist the development of said SRRE <br /> and to review and comment on the SRRE of the county and the <br /> cities in the county; and <br /> WHEREAS, the local task force in San Mateo County is the <br /> City/County Association of Governments ("C/CAG") ; and <br /> WHEREAS, cities and counties are allowed to work <br /> cooperatively with each other for the purpose of preparing said <br /> Source Reduction and Recycling Elements, provided there is no <br /> pooling of diversion credits among the cities and counties <br /> working cooperatively and provided each city and county retains <br /> the responsibilities and liabilities assigned to it by Sections <br /> 41000 , et seq. , of the Public Resources Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, San Mateo County and fifteen (15) cities , Atherton, <br /> Belmont, Burlingame, Colma, Daly City, East Palo Alto, Foster <br /> City, Half Moon Bay, Hillsborough, Menlo Park, Portola Valley, <br /> Redwood City, San Carlos, San Mateo and Woodside, have prepared a <br /> Joint Source Reduction and Recycling Element; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Joint Source Reduction and Recycling Element <br /> qualifies the current level of solid waste diversion in the City <br /> of Redwood City and describes the program, consistent with said <br /> waste management hierarchy, which the City of Redwood City will <br /> implement to achieve the diversion rates mandated by Sections <br /> 41000 , et. seq. , of the Public Resources Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Joint Source Reduction and Recycling Element <br /> has been reviewed by the City/County Association of Governments <br /> ( "C/CAG") , the Local Task Force for the San Mateo County, and <br /> found to be acceptable; and <br /> 2 11823 <br />
