Each Com- <br />mittee gave a verbal report and it was requested in the future, in the interest of time, <br />that' each report be written and given to the Director in rough draft. The report will <br />then be edited, typed and mailed out to the Commissioners. A report does not neces- <br />sarily have to be made every time a committee meets. <br /> <br />Des~n and Dev~lop~ent Committee - Chairman Weintraub gave the report. This com- <br />mittee met twice. First meeting was for organization and the setting of prior- <br />ities as follows: <br /> <br />a. Canyon Park <br />b. Redesign of existing parks <br />c. Union Cemetery <br /> <br />-Hetch-Hetchy is now underway and will be considered with Canyon Park. Bicycle <br />paths and the Easter bowl were discussed. The committee made a decision to have <br />a tour of the area along with viewing adjoining county land. <br /> <br />The second meeting was for discussing a scope of work for Canyon Park. The com- <br />mittee used past proposals and Stulsaft Park as a guide. <br /> <br />A meeting was scheduled for July 17. A review of the consultant firms that were <br />used for Stulsaft and some others will be made. Consideration will be given to <br />use the same consultants for Hetch-Hetchy as well as for Canyon Park. <br /> <br />A fourth meeting will be scheduled to tour existing parks and survey renovation and <br />redesign needs. <br /> <br />- Qperational.~,P.o~licies Conunittee - 'R'eport--given by- Chairman, Haynes. <br />This committee met once and priorities were set as follows: <br /> <br />a. Review and establish park use rules and regulations. Chairman Haynes indicated <br />present policies would be reviewed. The staff <br />willI make a collection of various ,ordinances for the committee's review. <br />The committee has a large continuous job ahead. <br />b. Street tree study. A scope of work will be established. <br />c. Evaluation of rules and operational policies of the Marina. <br /> <br />Community Relat~ons C~mmittee - Chairman Pound gave the report. <br />Several subjects were combined to arrive at priorities as follows: <br /> <br />a. Develop a code of ethics and operating rules. Review priorities of Commission <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />b. Commission relations with other commissions. <br /> <br />c.
