<br />presiding Chairperson Weintraub at 7:30 p.m. in Meeting Room Number I of the

<br />Presiding Chairperson Weintraub introduced the two new Commission members,
<br />Mr. Schlesinger and Mr. Gray, and welcomed back Commissioner Knecht. She then
<br />turned the meeting over to Mr. Weeks for a verbal report on the Santa Clara
<br />Street property.
<br />
<br />Mr. Weeks mentioned that the Parks & Recreation Department staff has had con-
<br />vérsations with the ScMol District aM the City Cowcil. A request ws ~de
<br />that the matter be kept open for consideration together with requesting the
<br />Parks & Recreation Commission meet to discuss ramifications of the possible
<br />purchase of the site subsequent to the School District's indicating to the City
<br />that they would be interested in a long range lease or the sale of the property
<br />to the City if the City were in a position to take advantage of that offer.
