8/28/00 <br />0 R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14010 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE <br />STREET TREE MAINTENANCE PROJECT 2000 -2001; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF BID SECURITY <br />DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13929 adopted June 26, 2000, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Comprehensive Street Tree <br />Maintenance Project 2000 -2001; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, four bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, West Coast Arborists, Inc. of Anaheim, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />award said bid to West Coast Arborists, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of West Coast Arborists, Inc., setting forth hourly rates stated in <br />said bidder's proposal dated August 15, 2000, for the Comprehensive Street <br />Tree Maintenance Project 2000 -2001, is hereby accepted, said hourly rates are <br />hereby expressly accepted for purposes of determining actual compensation <br />under the agreement, subject to the maximum limitation of expenditures <br />thereunder of Three Hundred Twenty -seven Thousand Nine Hundred Ten and <br />Reso -980 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F: Sha red \Shared \Redwood \Counc1I <br />08/21/00 <br />
