Mayor Howard will present a Special Plaque to Art and Ida Balsamo for their generous <br />contributions to the City of Redwood City. Mr. and Mrs. Balsamo paid to have the bronze <br />and granite monument to Redwood City's fallen soldiers of WWII restored and installed in <br />front of the new City Hall alongside the historic flag pole. <br /> <br />B. Mayor Howard will present a Proclamation declaring the week of April 26 to May 2, 1998 <br />as the Kiwanis sponsored "Skip a Meal for the World's Children Week." This program <br />will raise money to eliminate blindness and other disorders around the world caused by <br />iodine deficiency. <br />
