8 /28/00 <br />ORIGINAL <br />(07/10/00) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14001 <br />Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br />Agreement With Salvation Army (Emergency Assistance Program) <br />WHEREAS, Salvation Army (Emergency Assistance Program) is a private, non - profit organization <br />that provides basic human necessities and personal counseling, which services are in furtherance of the <br />public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Salvation Army (Emergency Assistance Program), has requested financial assistance <br />for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000 and ending June <br />30, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Salvation Army (Emergency Assistance Program) to provide financial assistance in <br />furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 7/10/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Salvation Army (Emergency Assistance Program) a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the <br />City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of <br />Redwood City. <br />
