<br />5. BOARDS, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />A. APPOINTMENT to the Senior Affairs Commission, one unexpired term ending April 30, <br />1998. Council conducted interviews with John Mooney and Marie Walsh on November 4, <br />1996. A written ballot will be submitted by each Council Member, tallied by the Liaison to <br />the Commission, and the vote totals will be announced by the City Clerk after Item 5.B. <br /> <br />B. REPORT to the City Council from the Council Public Safety Subcommittee, <br />Councilwoman Judy Buchan, Chairperson; <br /> <br />Request from the Police Department to spend AB 322 Citizen's Option for Public Safety <br />funds on a Computer Aided Dispatch System; status of Federal Block Grant Allocation <br />funds of $104,707 and joint spending plan with the County; and status of Gunshot Location <br />System. Direction to staff. <br /> <br />1) MOTION: Accept Subcommittee's recommendation authorizing Police Chief to <br />utilize AB 322 Citizen's Option for Public Safety funds of $167,970 to purchase a <br />Computer Aided Dispatch/Records Management System. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />A. Public Hearing - Amendment to Ordinance 2084 establishing the Underground Utility <br />District No. 1994-1, to include the required underground installation of 100 feet of each <br />single family residential underground service connection facility, and change "pole <br />down date" to August 1, 1997. <br /> <br />Affidavits of Notice of Mailing and Publication are on file in the City Clerk Department. <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Staff report: <br /> <br />2) Open public hearing; <br /> <br />3) Hear public comment; <br /> <br />4) Close public hearing; <br /> <br />5) Council action; <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TIME BY WHICH POLES AND OVERHEAD WIRES <br />SHALL BE REMOVED AND UNDERGROUND SERVICE PROVIDED WITHIN <br />UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 1994-1; AND ESTABLISHING THE USE <br />OF UNDERGROUND CONVERSION ALLOCATION FOR UNDERGROUNDING <br />UTILITIES FOR CERTAIN RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES THEREIN PURSUANT TO <br />DECISION BY THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA (First reading on November 4, 1996) <br /> <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />AGENDA <br /> <br />NOVEMBER 18, 1996 <br />PAGE 3 <br />
