BOARDS, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Council Subcommittee on Public Safety recommends that the City Council approve the <br />construction and staffing of a fire station at Redwood Shores using existing Redwood <br />City personnel. <br /> <br />Alternatives Studied by Subcommittee: <br /> <br />1) Provide fire services to Redwood Shores by utilizing existing Fire Department <br />personnel and increasing Fire Department overtime to fund same; <br /> <br />2) Provide fire service to Redwood Shores by continuing to contract with South County <br />Fire Authority; <br /> <br />3) Provide fire service to Redwood Shores by contracting with Menlo Park Fire <br />Protection District to staff Fire Station 11, and utilize Station 11 personnel to staff <br />the Redwood Shores station. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting Agenda <br />April 15, 1996 <br />Page 3 <br />
