Chairperson Swope <br />mentioned that in September-October 1992, the Commissioners developed a <br />list of prioritized objectives and asked that a copy of this information be <br />provided to the Commissioners. <br /> <br />ITEM 2 - RED MORTON CENTER UPDATE <br /> <br />The Commissioners received a report from Supervisor Julie Hannon <br />regarding the Red Morton Center fundraising efforts. The pasta dinner and <br />Reno trip brought in $1,875.00; donations received total $4,650.00; paver sales <br />total $5,600.00; TOTAL FUNDS $12,125.00. Chairperson Swope noted that <br />Commissioner Truscelli has sold over half the pavers and thanked her for <br />her efforts. It was brought to the Commissioners' attention that some of the <br />paver orders have included some type of advertising. The Commissioners <br />discussed the matter and decided that pavers should not include any <br />advertising. <br /> <br />MIS Truscelli/Davis: To make it a policy not to accept any "advertising" <br />paver orders. <br /> <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />The Commissioners discussed the booth they will be operating July 2-4 during <br />the 4th of July Festival. The booth will be located in front of the Fox Theater <br />and Don Saye has arranged to have students help in the booth. An adult will <br />need to be in the booth at all times and a sign-up sheet was passed around for <br />the Commissioners to indicate when they would be helping in the booth. <br />Commissioner Slusser said he will work with Don Saye to arrange the booth <br />for the 4th of July Festival. Chairperson Swope asked for a sample brick <br />which could be shown to customers. <br /> <br />Supervisor Hannon's memo indicated that she would like to send in the <br />paver order by Friday, July 14 to ensure the pavers would be received in time <br />to coordinate with the construction. The Commissioners asked if the paver <br />deadline could be extended and the installation of the pavers could be <br />deferred to allow for additional sales. Commissioner Slusser volunteered to <br />meet with the Mark Schatz, Julie Hannon and the contractor to move the <br />paver installation date. The sales of the tiles will be deferred until the paver <br />sales are completed. Supervisor Hannon indicated that we can sell as many <br />tiles as we want and there is no time deadline since they will be installed <br />inside the building along a wall. <br /> <br />The Commissioners each received the new brochure for the fundraising <br />effort. Chairperson Swope said she will be developing a letter of intent which <br />will accompany the new brochure for grant requests. It was suggested that <br />each Commissioner notify Chairperson Swope with the names of the <br />companies they have approached for funding so she does not duplicate the <br /> <br /> <br />- -,; <br />
