In response to question regarding disposition of the statement from residents of Park Street complaining of noise and nuisances in their neighborhood, Police Chief Guardino reported that his department is investigating the complaint and will request the District Attorney to prosecute if investigation reveals a cause for doing so exists. 2. In re sp on se to request for information regarding the disposit ion of the Stafford Park fence which has been removed, Direc tor of Parks and Recreation Griffiths stated that it is his intention not to replace the fence and that public reaction has been very favorable. Mr. Griffiths reported that the fence has been stored in the event any safety problem occurs, and it must be retained, but that from an aesthetic point of view, it is hoped no problems will occur and that landscaping will also help solve the kinds of problems which might arise since the park appearance is better without the barrier. 3. Mayor Stangel stated he will be unable to represent the City at a brunch being held by the Center for the Independence of the Disabled and asked for someone else to do so. Councilman Bury agreed to represent the City at the event. (memo 7/27/82) 4. Appointment to Planning CoDlDission for unexpired term coDlDencing immediately and expir ing June 30, 1984 Council members interviewed Dr. Gilberta Villarreal, all other applicants for appointment to the Planning Commission having been interviewed previously.
