<br />WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />1 . <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Britschgi called attention to the letter received from Mrs. <br />Minna K. Osborn complimenting the City on the garden at City Hall and the <br />Library. He thanked Mrs. Osborn for her comments and asked that the City <br />Manager reply to her letter. (memo 10/11/82) <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Britschgi referred to the request from John J. and Raegene L. <br />Castle, 827 Mohican Way and Joseph and Anna Fraone, 829 Mohican Way, <br />requesting abandonment of the walkway between their properties. There being <br />no objection, he referred the matter to staff for investigation and report. <br />(memo 10/11/82) <br /> <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />1 . <br /> <br />City Manager Smith requested that the term of City Treasurer held by retired <br />Director of Finance Jack Ference be extended 90 days, advising that Mr. <br />Ference has agreed to the extension and that he is paid $1.00 per month. <br /> <br />M/S: Claire/Mosher to extend the term of Jack Ference as City Treasurer 90 <br />days at $1.00 per month. <br /> <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 82-168 <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Dorothy W. Anderson, 1092 Chesterton, called attention to the northeast <br />corner of Brewster and EI Camino Real, noting that the trash container there <br />is usually overflowing with debris and various papers, cans, etc. are <br />outside the container, stating that she wanted to make City officials aware <br />of the condition, in case they were not, so that arrangements can be made to <br />keep the area clean. <br /> <br />City Manager Smith said he would look into the situation. <br /> <br />(memo 10/12/82) <br /> <br />Council members thanked Ms. Anderson for taking the trouble to bring the <br />matter to their attention. <br /> <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Reg .Mtg. <br />10/11/82 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />M/S: Mosher/Rhodes to adjourn to regularly scheduled adjourned meetings on <br />Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m. in the office of the City Manager for the purpose of <br />conducting executive sessions for consideration of labor relations matters; <br />and to cancel the meeting regularly scheduled for October 18, 1982 and will <br />adjourn to October 25 because of the Annual Conference of the League of <br />California Cities. <br /> <br />Carried unanimously and Council adjourned at 8:35 p.m. <br /> <br />JACQUELINE C.
