<br />3. <br /> <br />Rescission of award of contract - Tennis Court <br />Resurfacing <br /> <br />Report of City Manager and Director of Public Works 10/26/82 <br /> <br />In response to questions, Director of Public Works Addiego explained that <br />the apparent lowest responsible bidder to whom contract was awarded 9/20/82 <br />was discovered not to have the class license required for the project. <br />Checking of his qualifications has now delayed the project beyond the date <br />when it is practical to undertake it, and it is recommended that the City <br />readvertise for bids next spring, noting that reconsideration can be given <br />at that time to the project itself. <br /> <br />Title read. MOTION: to set a public hearing for 7:30 p.m., <br />Monday, December 13, 1982 on the application <br />of Peninsula Cable TV for renewal of franchise <br />agreement and that the City Clerk be instructed <br />to prepare and publish the necessary legal notices. <br /> <br />Mayor Stangel appointed Vice Mayor Britschgi and Councilmen Claire and <br />Rhodes as a Council committee to review and consider the application for <br />franchise renewal and to provide Council with as much detailed information <br />as possible by December 3 for submittal to Council for study. <br /> <br />City Manager Smith observed that background material will be sent to Council <br />in time for study before the December 13 Public Hearing, but that no <br />decision is required to be made on that date. <br /> <br />Councilman Bury requested for the record that comment be invited from City <br />residents who are unable to receive television without cable. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 82-176 <br /> <br />9.
