<br />GENERAL <br />1. <br /> <br />Councilman Britschgi called attention to reports of increased crime in <br />Redwood City and asked if there is any assistance Council might give in <br />reducing the problem. <br /> <br />City Manager Smith mentioned the "Neighborhood Watch Program" which has been <br />well-received and effective, noting that such programs are particularly <br />effective with regard to burglaries where police usually arrive on the scene <br />after the fact. <br /> <br />-- , <br /> <br />Police Chief Guardino reported that there is on-going criminal investigation <br />of the recent murders which prevent his commenting on them.
