8/28/00 <br />O R I G I N A L (07/10/00) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13994 <br />Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br />Agreement With Friends for Youth, Inc. <br />WHEREAS, Friends for Youth, Inc. is a private, non - profit organization that provides service to at <br />risk youth by creating and cultivating long term, one to one friendships with adult volunteer mentors, which <br />services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Friends for Youth, Inc., has requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting <br />its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000 and ending June 30, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Friends for Youth, Inc. to provide financial assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 7/10/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Friends for Youth, Inc. a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy <br />reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />
