The <br />Commission should be cognizant of this idea in its development <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />stages. <br /> <br />ITEM 6 - COMMISSIONER VACANCIES <br /> <br />Applicants for one Commissioner pos'i tion have been received and the <br />City Council will interview candidates on April 20,1987. Chairman <br />Anderson and Commissioner Kingsford-Smith's terms are up, <br />applications for their positions are being accepted and interviews by <br />Council will be May 4,1987. <br /> <br />ITEM 7 - VIETNAM MEMORIAL <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the proposed sculptur,e as submi tted by the <br />artist and felt Redwood City was not an appropriate site for this <br />particular sculpture. It was suggested that the Civic Cultural <br />Commission look into other statues if Redwood City in fact wanted <br />one. <br /> <br />Monthly Reports <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />M/S Kingsford-Smith/Swope to approve the monthly reports as <br />submitted. <br /> <br />Roundtable <br /> <br />Director Griffiths said the approval of job specifications for the <br />Park Ranger position will go to City Council on March 23, 1987 as <br />will the amendment to the contract with Singer and Hodges for the Red <br />Morton Community Park parking lot project to include the Veterans <br />Memorial Senior Center parking. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:55 p.m. to be reconvened Saturday, April <br />25, 1987 at 8:15 a.m. in the Community Activities Building at 1400 <br />Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />/If.P.R.3.ll <br /> <br /> <br />. <br />,.,,_,-.Li~L,__, ' <br /> <br />
