Commissioners Swope, Nordness and Weiss will be on this <br />committee. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - YOUTH SERVICES SYMPOSIUM <br /> <br />This item is held over to the next meeting when Fair Oaks Community <br />Center Coordinator Centeno could be present. <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR 49ER BUILDING <br /> <br />It was suggested that in light of the 4gers extending their stay at <br />the Redwood City facility through the 1988 season, a feasibility <br />study at this point would be premature. ~om Jordan, chairman of the <br />Senior Affairs Commission will be invited to a Park and Recreation <br />Commission meeting to discuss the seniors "wish 1.ist n . <br /> <br />The Commissioners discussed writing a letter to the City Council to <br />reiterate their understanding regarding the 4ger maintenance <br />agreement and status of the 70 yards of artificial turfqrass. The <br />Commission expressed concern over whether the City Council still held <br />the same opinions as were stated on the Commission/CounciJ.. Park <br />Tour. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />M/S Mortensen/Swope to send a letter to the City CounciJ. <br />reiterating the Commission's understanding regarding the <br />4ger maintenance agreement and status of the 70 vards of <br />artificial turfgrass. <br /> <br />Motion approved unanimously. <br /> <br />ITEM 5 - COMMISSION/COUNCIL VOLLEYBALL GAME <br /> <br />Commissioner Mortensen will advise us if and when the qame is to be. <br /> <br />ITEM 6 - SEPTEMBER MEETING <br /> <br />It was decided that the regular meeting for September would be <br />cancelled because the Admissions Day holiday falls on September 9. <br /> <br />ITEM 7 - CASA DE REDWOOD <br /> <br />Director Griffiths informed the meeting of the benefit barbeque to be <br />held for the victims of the Casa de Redwood fire. The barbeque will <br />be held September 12,1987, St. Pius Church at 3:30 p.m., tickets are <br />$25.00. <br /> <br />
