Director Griffiths said he <br />would speak to the attorney's office on the role the Commission could <br />partake in such an organization. <br /> <br />Chairman Buchan left the meeting at 8:15 p.m. to attend another <br />meeting at Redwood Shores. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - STULSAFT COMMITTEE <br /> <br />The Stulsaft Park Committee report developed by Commissioners <br />Nordness, Swope and Weiss was mai,led out to the Commission during the <br />month. Commissioner Weiss asked the status of the immediate repairs <br />list. Director Griffiths responded that the gate at Recreation Way <br />was being currently being replaced with a lower gate. <br /> <br />Commissioner Howard suggested requesting the Beautification Committee <br />consider Stulsaft Park as one of their clean-up projects. Directo~ <br />Griffiths said he would write rouncilwoman LaBerqe with the request. <br /> <br />Commissioner Weiss said the Committee had noted many areas in the <br />park where peopJe were dumping debris such as clippings and wondered <br />if the Fire Department would notify these people that such actions <br />were prohibited by ordinance. Commissioner Anderson commented on the many dogs he continues <br />to see in the parks. He also asked that the weeds be sprayed on the <br />concrete med-ian on Roosevelt Avenue. Comm.issionerr Howard said as <br />usual there was graffitti in the bathrooms at Hoover Park. <br />Comm:i.ssioner Mortensen said that the recently replaced sink at Bechet <br />Field was again missing. <br /> <br />Roundtable <br /> <br />The annual City Council/Park and Recreation Commission Tour was <br />discussed and staff will look into possible dates in May. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission ad~ourned <br />at 8:45 p.m. to be reconvened on March 9,1988 at 7:30 p.m., <br />Community Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, <br />California. <br /> <br />If/p.r.2.l0 <br /> <br />
