She said we could require the <br />concessionaire to clean up the area and serve beer in paper cups and <br />the city would have the added benefit of revenue. Commissioner <br />Howard stated the Commission would be compromising themselves and we <br />needed to look at the reasons we initially passed the ordinance. <br />Commissioner Nordness agreed. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO MOTION: <br /> <br />M/S Mortensen/Swope to deny the request of <br />the Senors and that the subcommittee study <br />the possibility of a concessionaire. <br /> <br />Motion approved 6-1. <br /> <br />ITEM 3 - STULSAFT COMMITTEE <br /> <br />The Stulsaft Committee will report at the next meeting. <br /> <br />ITEM 4 - MAYOR'S BEAUTIFICATION AWARDS <br /> <br />Commissioner Weiss asked how the program would work. Director <br />Griffiths said anyone could submit applications (with photographs) <br />and then a selected panel would physically visit each site. <br />Commissioner Howard was appointed to represent the Park and <br />Recreation Commission as a judge and Commission Swope was appointed <br />alternate. <br /> <br />Monthly Reports <br />The monthly reports were accepted. <br /> <br />Roundtable <br /> <br />Commissioner Weiss and his wife just had a baby girl named Gabriella. <br />Commissioner Howard brought the Times Tribune article on what fine <br />softball fields Red Morton Community Park has. Commissioner Nordness <br />asked if a date had been set for the 4ger Facility Committee. <br />Chairman Buchan reminded everyone of the clean-up day beginning at. <br />Mezes Park on Apri~ 16 at 8:30 a.m. Commissioner Nordness was <br />appointed to replace Ms. Buchan on the 4ger Facility Committee and <br />Diane Howard will continue to serve. No firm date has been <br />established although she felt that would be decided in the near <br />future. <br /> <br />The Commission congratulated Ms. Buchan on being elected to the City <br />Council.
