DES:dik 06/01/92 (055/32) <br /> ORIGINAL 6/8/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11755 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF ONE (1) CHEMICAL <br /> ROOT CONTROL EQUIPMENT SYSTEM <br /> WHEREAS , pursuant to the provisions of Section 2 . 76 of the <br /> Code of the City of Redwood City this Council has , on motion duly <br /> made on the affirmative vote of at least five (5) members of said <br /> Council, suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 <br /> of said Code relating to the purchase of materials, equipment and <br /> supplies with regard to the purchase hereinafter authorized on <br /> the grounds that said equipment is of a unique nature and <br /> necessary to supplement previously purchased equipment and is <br /> available from a single source only; and <br /> WHEREAS, WECO Industries, Inc. has offered to supply one (1) <br /> Chemical Root Control System ("Airrigation Jet Set Foamaker") for <br /> the prevention of roots in the City' s sewerage system; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS : <br /> 1 . The bid of WECO Industries, Inc. , dated May 26 , 1992 , <br /> to sell one (1) Chemical Root Control System (Airrigation Jet Set <br /> Foamaker) for a total price of Nineteen Thousand Nine Hundred <br /> Ninety-four and No/100 ($19 , 994 . 00) is hereby accepted. <br /> 2 . The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> execute all documents required in connection with the purchase <br /> authorized herein (in form approved by the City Attorney) for and <br /> on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />
