EXHIBIT A LEGAL DESCRIPTION PROPOSED LAND ACQUISITION CITY CENTER PARKING STRUCTURE PROJECT All that certain real property situate in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, described as follows: A Portion of Lots 3 and 4 in Block 1, Range B, as shown on that certain Map entitled, "Town of Mezesville", filed in the Office of the County Recorder of San Mateo, State of California, on August 1, 1856 in Book 1 of Maps at Page 79, and also being a portion of the lands conveyed by Grant Deed dated July 23, 1986 to James A. Ortloff and Sheila L. Ortloff, recorded August 26, 1986 as Series Number 86102774, said portion being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a point lying on the southerly line of Marshall Street, as said point lies distant North 86° 34' 01" East (North 86° 30' 00" East) 100.00 feet from where the easterly line of Jefferson AMarsha I Street (formerly Washington rmerl "B"Street) as shown on the intersects the southerly line Map above referred to; HENCE South 03° 25' 14" East (South 03° 30' 00" East), along a line parallel with and 100.00 feet easterly of the easterly line of said Jefferson Avenue, 137.89 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE North 86° 30' 00" East 62.82 feet; THENCE South 48° 30' 00" East 5.62 feet (5.65 feet); THENCE South 03° 25' 14" East (South 03° 30' 00" East) 58.20 feet to the southerly line of the above mentioned Lot 3, Block 1; THENCE westerly along said southerly line South 86° 30' 00" West 66.80 feet to a point on a line parallel with and 100.00 feet easterly of the easterly line of said Jefferson Avenue; THENCE northerly along said parallel line North 03° 25' 14" West 62.18 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and CONTAINING 4,145 square feet, more or less.
