Exhibit "A" <br /> January 31, 1992 CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> RECREATION INSTRUCTOR (FUNDED) <br /> (TINY TOT HEAD INSTRUCTOR) <br /> DEFINITION <br /> To plan, organize, implement, and supervise Tiny Tot Program for pre-school <br /> age children. <br /> SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br /> The Recreation Instructor receives technical and functional supervision from <br /> the Recreation Program Coordinator. <br /> May exercise functional supervision over assistant teachers. <br /> EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: <br /> Plan, prepare and lead children, aged 2 to 5 years in a variety of active and <br /> passive activities. Activities may include arts and crafts, science, math, <br /> movement, language, special projects, games, songs, stories and local field <br /> trips. <br /> Plan lessons. <br /> Purchase supplies as needed. <br /> Supervise and train assistant teachers. <br /> Interact with parents. <br /> Assist with set up and clean up of Tiny Tot room. <br /> Perform related duties as assigned. <br /> QUALIFICATIONS <br /> Knowledge of: <br /> Early childhood education philosophy and practices. <br /> Organizational techniques and procedures. <br /> Ability to: <br /> Deal effectively with children and parents. <br /> Perform detailed work. <br /> Organize a variety of activities. <br /> 11697 <br />
