ORT~<;:~'~AL DES:djk 12/06/90 (046/28) , 2/10/90 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 11457 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING THE CITY/ COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, the County of San Mateo, and certain other Cities located in the County of San Mateo desire to establish a City/County Association of Governments for the purpose of preparing, adopting, monitoring and enforcing certain County-wide State mandated plans; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by this Council an agreement pursuant to which such a City/County Association of Governments would be established pursuant to the Joint Exercise of Powers Act (Govt. C. ~6500 et seq.); NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: Tha t certain Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement entitled "Joint Powers Agreement Establishing the City/County Association of Governments", (form dated 12/6/90) pursuant to which the City of Redwood City, the County of San Mateo, and others Cities specified in said agreement shall exercise jointly certain powers with respect to the preparation, adoption, monitoring and enforcement of certain County-wide State mandated plans, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and to attest thereto, respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. * * *
