<br />DES:djk 10/29/90 <br /> <br />(035/28) <br /> <br />authorize the City Manager to enter into an agreement for the <br /> <br /> <br />purchase of said equipment from Pierce Manufacturing, Inc.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council further desires to finance the <br /> <br /> <br />purchase of said equipment through means of a lease-purchase <br /> <br />arrangement, if such means is found appropriate by the Finance <br /> <br /> <br />Director; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />1. This Council does hereby authorize, pursuant to the <br /> <br />provisions of Section 2.80 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br /> <br />Ci ty, the substitution of bidding procedures of the City of <br /> <br />Alameda for those of the City of Redwood City, and does hereby <br /> <br />designate the City of Alameda as the City's agent, for the <br /> <br /> <br />purpose of purchasing, through the outstanding Alameda purchase <br /> <br /> <br />order therefor, one (1) 1500 Gallon-Per-Minute Pumper truck from <br /> <br /> <br />Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br /> <br />enter into an agreement for the purchase of the aforesaid <br /> <br /> <br />equipment from Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. <br /> <br />3. The Finance Director is hereby directed to arrange for <br /> <br /> <br />a lease purchase or other similar financing for the purchase of <br /> <br /> <br />said equipment, as he deems appropriate, and does hereby <br /> <br />authorize the City Manager to execute any and all documents <br /> <br /> <br />necessary therefor. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />1143 <br />
