<br />DES:djk 09/28/90 (021/28) <br /> <br />t. . .~ ~;\ ] <br />L.u~",,_d_ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11405 <br /> <br />OCT .8 1990 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF ROOFS <br />AT VARIOUS COMMUNITY FACILITIES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; <br />AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11373, adopted by this <br /> <br />Council on August 13, 1990, the City Clerk called for bids for <br /> <br />the replacement of roofs at various community facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call for bids, four bids were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br /> <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Guy's Roofing, Inc., Redwood City, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to award said bid to Guy's Roofing, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Guy's Roofing, Inc., in the sum of Two <br /> <br />Hundred Twenty-three Thousand Three Hundred and No/I00 Dollars <br /> <br />($223,300.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal <br /> <br />dated September 11, 1990 for the replacement of roofs at various <br /> <br />community facilities, is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br />hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said <br /> <br />work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement - For the Replacement of <br /> <br />Roofs at Various Community Facilities", (form dated 09/28/90), by <br />
