J 72 7 <br /> <br />--------- <br /> <br />MSR:dp:7/15/77 <br />MSR:jp:lO/17/77R <br />MSR:dp:lO/27/77R <br />MSR:sw:ll/7/77R <br />Or'I!"'I'"'n <br />. l\íuΡ'jH <br />.. ... <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ARTICLES V, VI, AND X OF CHAPTER 9 OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADDING ARTICLES V, VI, <br />AND X TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR <br />BUILDING AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, INCLUDING <br />THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE FOLLOWING CODES: THE "UNIFORM <br />BUILDING CODE, 1976 EDITION," AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL <br />CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS (THIRD PRINTING), THE "UNIFORM <br />BUILDING CODE 1976 EDITION, STANDARDS," AS PUBLISHED BY THE <br />INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS (FIRST PRINTING); <br />AND THE "UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1976 EDITION," AS PUBLISHED BY <br />THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS (FIRST <br />PRINTING) <br /> <br />NOV 28 1977 <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />Articles V (commencing at §9.40), VI (commencing <br /> <br />at §9.60) and X (commencing at §9.120) of Chapter 9 of the Code <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City are hereby repealed. <br /> <br />Articles V, VI and X are hereby added to Chapter 9 <br /> <br />SECTION 2. <br /> <br />of the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Article V. <br /> <br />BUILDING CODES. <br /> <br />"Section 9.40 (a) <br /> <br />Pursuant to Section 50022.1, et seg., <br /> <br />of the Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City, the following codes, standards and <br /> <br />regulations are hereby adopted and shall be in effect within <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City to the same extent as if set out in <br /> <br />full herein, except as expressly amended by the provisions <br /> <br />of this article: <br /> <br />" , (1) <br /> <br />The 'Uniform Building Code, 1976 Edition,' <br />as published by the International Conference <br />of Building Officials (Third printing). <br />Chapter 49 of the Appendix is specifically <br />adopted and shall be enforceable to the same <br />extent as if contained in the body of said <br />Code. The remainder of the Appendix is not <br />adopted and shall not be a part of the Build- <br />ing Code. <br /> <br />I 72 r¡ <br />
