ORIGINAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN REDWOOD CITY 2020, THROUGH ITS FISCAL AGENT, THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND WEllS FARGO BANK ~rJy AGREEMENT, made and entered in this IdA- day of , 2005, by and between Redwood City 2020, hrough its fiscal agent, the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Wells Fargo Bank all of which entities are referred to collectively as "the Parties." WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, in 1995 the City, Elementary School District, High School District and County formed Redwood City 2020 (formerly known as Redwood City 2000) to provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated system from birth to 12th grade to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth and provide valuable resources to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to their children, and; WHEREAS, each year, since the formation of Redwood City 2020, the City, Elementary School District, High School District and County have renewed the Redwood City 2020 partnership by formal agreement; and WHEREAS, in June 2003, the Gardner Center became a partner in Redwood City 2020; and WHEREAS, in June 2004, Wells Fargo Bank became a partner in Redwood City 2020; and WHEREAS, in June 2005, Kaiser Permanente, County of San Mateo Health Department and the Sequoia Healthcare District became partners in Redwood City 2020; and WHEREAS, the Parties desire to renew the Redwood City 2020 formation agreement for Fiscal Year 2005-2006. NOW THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL COVENANTS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED HEREIN, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOllOWS: 1. Purpose. The Parties are entering into this Agreement for the sole purpose of providing assistance to, and allowing the establishment of, Redwood City 2020.
