<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN REDWOOD CITY 2020, <br />THROUGH ITS FISCAL AGENT, THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br />WEllS FARGO BANK <br /> <br />~rJy AGREEMENT, made and entered in this IdA- day of <br />, 2005, by and between Redwood City 2020, hrough its fiscal <br />agent, the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the <br />State of California ("City") and Wells Fargo Bank all of which entities are referred to <br />collectively as "the Parties." <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1995 the City, Elementary School District, High School District <br />and County formed Redwood City 2020 (formerly known as Redwood City 2000) to <br />provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated system from birth <br />to 12th grade to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth and <br />provide valuable resources to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to <br />their children, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each year, since the formation of Redwood City 2020, the City, <br />Elementary School District, High School District and County have renewed the <br />Redwood City 2020 partnership by formal agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in June 2003, the Gardner Center became a partner in Redwood <br />City 2020; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in June 2004, Wells Fargo Bank became a partner in Redwood City <br />2020; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in June 2005, Kaiser Permanente, County of San Mateo Health <br />Department and the Sequoia Healthcare District became partners in Redwood City <br />2020; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Parties desire to renew the Redwood City 2020 formation <br />agreement for Fiscal Year 2005-2006. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL COVENANTS <br />AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED HEREIN, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />1. Purpose. The Parties are entering into this Agreement for the sole <br />purpose of providing assistance to, and allowing the establishment of, Redwood City <br />2020.
