Lastly, <br />we will track the citizen survey as the PRCS Department is the primary focus <br />this time around. Director Centeno stated that we have a considerable. <br />amount of data already collected. <br /> <br />An update on the Strategic Plan progress will be made at the next Parks and <br />Recreation Commission meeting. <br /> <br />ITEM 5 - STAFF UPDATES <br /> <br />-Spinas Park <br />Superintendent Hover reported that the project will soon go out to bid. <br /> <br />-PACT Team <br />. Director Centeno rep'orted that department staff made their second <br />presentation to this citizen~based academy program. Commissioner Morton <br />attended the PACT presentation and spoke about the format and interactive <br />, presentation. <br /> <br />- M eeti ng with the M avo r <br />Commissioner Joseph" and Superintendent Hover met with City Manager Ed <br />Everett and other board/commission members and were given a presentation <br />including an overview of the City's budget situation. <br /> <br />-Windmill Restoration <br />Superintendent Hover is working with the City Attorney's office in drafting a <br />memorandum of understanding for this project. <br /> <br />-Fair Oaks School Field <br />Director Centeno and Superinte"ndent Hover met with County representatives <br />and were granted $300,000 for this project. City Council has approved <br />$625,000 funding for this project and the School District will provide <br />$275,000, but the project is currently short $100,000 to fully fund the <br />project. Commissioner Morton will meet with Chris Bohl of the School District <br />- Board to see if there is extra money in the b-ond measure to help out with <br />this project. <br /> <br />-Pet Parade <br />Commissioner Joseph reported on the successful Pet Parade which had 300 <br />people and pets in attendance. Staff helped facilitate the parade which was <br />enjoyed by everyone. <br /> <br />ITEM 7 - 4TH OF JULY FLOAT <br /> <br />Superintendent Hover reported that we have access to a float from PCA and <br />that typically the new Commissioners have taken on this project. A sub- <br />committee of Commissioners Morton, Yapp and Joseph will meet to develop <br />plans for the float. <br /> <br />
