CGM: jp: 8/15/77 Rev. 0 R DIN AN C E N O. 1 71 6 ORIGINAL AUG 22 1977 --------- AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1977-1978, TO MAINTAIN THE PUBLIC LIBRARY OF SAID CITY DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE RETIREMENT PLAN, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR PARKING DISTRICT NO.1, AND FIX- ING AND LEVYING THE TAX RATE THEREFOR THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. GENERAL TAX REVENUE REQUIRED. The total amount of money to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the City of Redwood City to provide revenue to meet the general municipal expenses and to carryon the various depart- ments of said City for the fiscal year July 1,1977 - June 30, 1978; to pay the interest and principal upon all of the out- standing bonded indebtedness of said City, due and becoming payable during said fiscal year; to maintain the public library of said City during said fiscal year; and to provide funds for the City's contribution to the retirement plan voted at the municipal election on April 9, 1940; is hereby fixed at the total sum of Four Million Thr'=e Hundred Ninety.-fi ve ThousaÙd. T~1ree Hundred Ninety-seven and No/IOO Dollars ($4,395,397.00). SECTION 2. REVENUE DETAIL AND DISTRICTS. The following general and special tax rates for the areas hereinafter set forth are hereby levied and fixed, for the fiscal year July 1, 1977 - June 30, 1978, to raise the total revenues set forth in Section 1 hereof, and in addition thereto the amounts here- inafter set forth for Parking District No.1. (a) Two Million Nine Hundred Sixty-one Thousand Five Hun- dred"Twenty-nineand No/IOO Dollars ($2,961,~29.00) to meet the general municipal expenses during said fiscal year and for deposit in the General Fund of said City, and the general 1 71 6
