Director Centeno stated that Chairperson Yapp and Council <br />Member Barbara Pierce attended an initial meeting of County-wide <br />representatives regarding forming a foundation last year. She encouraged <br />the Commissioners to attend. <br /> <br />ITEM 6 - DISCUSSION OF PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CALENDAR <br /> <br />The Commissioners discussed a need for a yearly programming calendar, not <br />an events calendar. This item will be placed on the February agenda. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />-Superintendent Hover announced the MOU for the Windmill Project is <br />moving forward and will be presented at the February Commission meeting <br />and then to City Council. The proposed location of the windmill is at the <br />front of Union Cemetery. <br /> <br />-Director Centeno announced the following: <br />. Martin Luther King Jr. exhibit at Main Library from January 15 to <br />March 31 <br />. Pre-School Preview Night on Thursday, February 3 at the Veterans <br />Memorial Senior Center from 6:00-8:00pm <br />. Arbor Day on Saturday, March 5 at 2:00pm at the Veterans Memorial <br />Senior Center <br /> <br />-Commissioner Truscelli announced the Outstanding Citizen Awards to be <br />held on January 29 at the American Legion. Tickets are $33 and reservations <br />are required. <br /> <br />ITEMS FOR NEXT MONTH'S AGENDA <br /> <br />-RC American Little League Batting Cage Permit, Pet Parade, Draft <br />Recommendation on Park Rules, Development of New Commission Calendar, <br />Discussion on Youth Infusion Report, Approval of MOU for Windmill Project <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was adjourned <br />at 9:45pm to be reconvened at 7:30pm on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 to <br />be held at the Senior Center Annex of the Veterans Memorial Senior Center, <br />711 Nevada Street, Redwood City, California. <br />
