<br />effective January 1, 1978; provided, however, that such additional <br /> <br />compensation shall not be included in computations for overtime or <br /> <br />other pay differentials, except, howeverr if such employee has worked <br /> <br />., , <br /> <br />an eight hour shift commencing between the aforementioned hours for <br /> <br />a period of at least 30 working days immediately preceding a paid <br /> <br />holiday or the commencement of a vacation or the commencement of <br /> <br />a paid sick leave, said employee shall be compensated at his estab- <br /> <br />lished rated of pay plus the above mentioned additional compensation <br /> <br />for the period of such holiday or leave. <br /> <br />SECTION 22. <br />- \ <br /> <br />Any regular employee appointed to a position in <br /> <br />any of the classifications designated in Sections 1 through 18 hereof <br /> <br />who is assigned in writing the duties of a job classification with a <br /> <br />higher salary range than that to which he is regularly assigned, on <br /> <br />a temporary basis, for at least one full working day shall, commencing <br /> <br />upon the first full working day of such assignment, receive in lieu <br /> <br />of his established rate of pay, compensation at the lowest step or <br /> <br />rate of pay for the job classification to which duties he has been <br /> <br />assigned, representing an increase of at least five per cent above <br /> <br />the rate paid to such employee immediately prior to such assignment <br /> <br />for that time worked; provided, however, that in no event shall such <br /> <br />employee receive in excess of the highest step or rate of pay of the <br /> <br />higher salary range. <br /> <br />SECTION 23. <br /> <br />The provisions of the foregoing sections of this <br /> <br />ordinance to the contrary notwithstanding, if a position allocated to <br /> <br />a given class in the competitive service is reallocated to a different <br /> <br />class in order to correct an error or to provide for a change in duties <br /> <br />or responsibilities of such position, and there is no change in the <br /> <br />incumbent of the position so reallocated, and the maximum salary <br /> <br />provided for the position as reallocated is less than the salary <br /> <br />received by the incumbent prior to reallocation, then said incumbent <br /> <br />shall continue to be con~ensated at the rate paid said incumbent prior <br /> <br />to such reallocation. <br /> <br />-14- <br /> <br />. ._. ...--..-.--.--.. <br />
