IREPORT To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> From the City Mana~ler <br /> <br />July 15, 2002 <br /> <br /> Subject <br /> Final Acceptance - RWC Technology Station Subdivision at 500 Arguello Street <br /> Engineering File No. 805-03 <br /> <br /> Recommendation <br />Accept the improvements for the RWC Technology Station Subdivision, following the <br />submission of a Maintenance Bond in the amount of $37,500.00, in accordance with <br />Paragraph No. 9 of the Subdivision Agreement, and authorize the release of bonds. <br /> <br /> Background <br />On July 17, 20(~0, the City Council approved the RWC Technology Station Subdivision, <br />and the agreement for the improvements of the subdivision. The subdivider, RWC <br />Technology Station, LLC., has completed the construction of the improvements in <br />accordance with the Subdivision Agreement. Main improvements in the public right- <br />of-way included an eight inch water main extension along Bradford and Arguello <br />Streets; 12-inch storm drain along Bradford Street; street modifications; paving; street <br />overlay and stripping, plus associated curb & gutter, sidewalk, street trees and tree <br />grates. <br /> <br />The subdivider provided a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor & Materials Bond, <br />each in the amount of $375,500.00, which can now be released. <br /> <br /> Fiscal Impacts <br />A Maintenance Bond will be held for one year after which maintenance will be the <br />responsibility of the City. <br /> <br /> Funds for the maintenance are appropriated in the Public Works Services Department <br /> Operational Budget for the maintenance of the street, storm drainage, water, and sewer <br /> improvements. <br /> <br /> ~' Br~uc~e"Li~st'ran~' ' 'Ed Everett <br />Senior Civil Engineer Community Development Services Director City Manager <br /> <br /> PDU:ss <br /> s/library/repor~s/phong/accept_RWC Tech Sta_500 A~guello <br /> <br /> <br />
