MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETI2qG <br /> <br /> July 15, 2002 <br /> MO. 02-196 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: July 16, 2002 <br /> <br />Attention: City Attorney <br /> Public Works Dept. <br /> <br />SUBJECT Motion to authorize the purchase of various sized meters from <br /> Invensys (formerly "Sensus") Metering Systems <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on July 15, 2002. <br /> <br />Present: Council Member Ruskin, Hartnett, Jordan, Howard, and Mayor Claire <br />Absent: Vice Mayor Ira and Council Member Pierce <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br />M/S Claire/Howard Motion to authorize the purchase of various sized meters <br />from Invensys (formerly "Sensus") Metering Systems of Placentia, California in <br />the not to-exceed amount of $130,000; and Waive the bidding requirements of <br />the City of Redwood City Code, Chapter 2, Article 7, Section 2.76 by affirmative <br />vote of at least five members of City Council on the grounds that strict <br />compliance with the bidding requirements would not serve the public interest <br />(continued from 7/1/02 meeting); <br /> <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote by all those present. <br /> <br />Patricia S.
