<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />SERVICE AGREEMENT <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Historic Courthouse Reconstruction, Redwood City <br />DES Project No. 9207.08 <br />October 25, 2005 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />SCOPE OF ADJUSTED SERVICES <br /> <br />The services included in this Services Agreement (SA) cover the effort required for the following: <br /> <br />General <br />. Following a meeting with the City and the plaza design team on August 4, provide <br />mechanical equipment and storage space under the main entry steps and revise the exterior <br />lighting as described more fully below. <br />. It is understood that the space under the stairs is utility-type space for plaza fountain <br />equipment and will require mechanical ventilation. <br />. Allowance for potential hours in the event that the project lasts longer than originally <br />budgeted (approx. 4 to 6 weeks) <br /> <br />Architectural <br />. Investigate alternate options for the space under the stairs. <br />. Provide a new access door at the concrete shear wall for the new mechanical area. <br />. Provide a new waterproof membrane below the granite steps. <br />. Revise main entry steps and sidewalls to accommodate new up lighting at columns. <br />. Investigate options per column lighting <br />. Revise existing drawings as required. <br />. Coordinate work of the team, including plaza consultants. <br />. Issue Supplementary Instructions to the contractor. <br /> <br />Structural <br />. Redesign shear wall at lower level and provide for new door opening. <br />. Provide new slab on grade at storage area. <br />. Review options per elevation of slab. <br />. Provide sump pits as required <br />. Coordinate structural details with new lighting as required <br /> <br />Electrical <br />. Collaborate with plaza team's lighting consultant to integrate courthouse lighting with plaza <br />design and related pavilions. <br />. Revise color temperature from "cool" to "warm". <br />. Provide up lighting to the main entry columns. Coordinate with Architect per different <br />conditions at the base of the columns. <br />. Provide lighting at new storage area. <br />. Provide power at new storage. City to provide requirements. <br />. Other lighting revisions as mutually agreed upon with plaza lighting designer. <br />. Attend (1) field test <br /> <br />Mechanical <br />.
