Z4 .z 3

use available noise suppression devices and techniques to bring exterior noise
down to acceptable levels compatible with adjacent land uses.

The primary sources of noise will be construction noise (associated with off-
site improvements) and operational noise. Construction noise is largely a
function of the construction equipment used, the location and sensitivity of
nearby land uses, and the timing and duration of the noise-generating
activities. Construction noise levels would vary depending on construction
phase, equipment type and duration of use, distance between noise source and
receptor, and presence or absence of barriers between noise source and
receptor. All noise generating construction activities are anticipated to be
conducted on weekdays between the hours of7a.m. and 8 p.m. in accordance
with City requirements.

Moreover, operational noise impacts from the existing land uses will not
increase as a result of the proposed project.

b) Exposure of persons to or generation of excessive groundborne vibration or
groundborne noise levels?

The project will not result in an exposure of persons to or generation of
excessive groundborne vibration or groundborne noise levels.

c)

A substantial permanent increase in ambient noise levels in the project vicinity
above levels existing without the project?

See XI a) above.

d) A substantial temporary or periodic increase in ambient noise levels in the
project vicinity above levels existing without the project?

See XI a) above.

e)

For a project located within an airport land use plan or, where such a plan has
not been adopted, within two miles of a public airport or public use airport,
would the project expose people residing or working in the project area to
excessive noise levels?

The project would not be located within an airport land use plan or, where
such a plan has not been adopted, within two miles of a public airport or
public use airport or within the vicinity of a private airstrip.

f)

For a project within the vicinity of a private airstrip, would the project expose
people residing or working in the project area to excessive noise levels?

See XI e) above.

Potentially
Significant
1m act

Potentially Significant
Unless Mitigation
Inco oration

x

x

x

x

x

a)

x

Induce substantial population growth in an area, either directly (for example,
by proposing new homes and businesses) or indirectly (for example, through
extension of roads or other infrastructure)?

The project would not induce substantial growth in an area either directly or
indirectly.

14
